Offered is a 1973 RCA Victor record store window banner promoting the Aloha from Hawaii Via Satellite Quadradisc recording, including songs never before recorded by Elvis. The banner was created for display in record stores and other retailers of RCA records and is unused. It's presented in a beautiful framed display with complimentary yellow matting. This blockbuster hit album would be Elvis’ last number one during his lifetime. Fans from around the globe watched as the singing phenomenon from Memphis known the world over as Elvis took the stage at the Honolulu International Center on January 14, 1973 and said “Aloha” to the world. This famed concert aired via satellite in over 40 countries in Europe and Asia (airing at a later date in the U.S.) and was not only the most expensive entertainment special of its time, costing approximately $2.5 million to produce, but also one of Elvis’ most triumphant moments on stage. The double album released by RCA of this celebrated concert contained 30 songs and was an immediate, massive hit, as Elvis sang every song with a passion and energy like only the King of Rock ‘n’ Roll could. The banner measures approximately 8 1/2 by 24 inches, and is framed to a size of 31 x 15 ½ inches. The banner presents with some wrinkling and minor wear and an large area of staining on the right side. The water stains don't detract from the presentation. Very Good to Excellent condition.
