Offered is a very tough to find John Lennon fan poster from 1968. The poster features Lennon in his iconic spectacles with the lenses filled with another image of the Beatle, colored bright purple, and his name printed as the bridge of the glasses. These posters were available by mail order from "Columbia Special Products/CBS Records New York" as noted by the fine print at the bottom. Of not is the copyright line "1968 © Simon Dee Inc." Simon Dee was a disc jockey turned talk show host that rose to prominence as a BBC star in the late 1960s. It is unclear why Dee owned this image, but there you have it. We have never seen another copy of this poster. The poster measures 21 x 28 3/4 inches and presents with original fold marks, some small tears and areas of paper loss. Very Good to Excellent condition.
