Offered are two very tough to find LPs from the band Blue Cheer that are both signed by founder Dickie Peterson and drummer Paul Whaley. Peterson has signed the front of Vincebus Eruptum and Whaley signed the back. This was the band's debut LP in 1968. Peterson and Whaley have signed the front of New! Improved!, their 1969 LP, with Whaley simply signing "The Whale". These records themselves are very collectible. Blue Cheer was a San Francisco-based band that specialized in a psychedelic blues rock or acid rock style, and are also credited as being some of the earliest pioneers of heavy metal, with their cover of "Summertime Blues" noted as perhaps the very first heavy metal song!
