Autograph is graded GEM MINT 10 by PSA/DNA. Offered is a stunning Stan Musial signed 5 x 7 inch George Burke photograph. In this auction, we are presenting a wonderful collection of these Burke photos signed by Hall of Famers and other superstars of the 1920s-1950s (see the previous and next lots). Burke's status as a baseball photographer is legendary. With his partner George Brace, the pair spent years as the official photographers of the Chicago White Sox and Cubs, from the late 1920s to the early 1950s. They endeavored to record a portrait of every player in the league during that period, and being in a city with an American and a National league team made that possible. The offered photos were printed from the original negatives, but most-likely at a later time, and captures the players in their primes in the 1930s and 1940s. The photo presents in pristine condition with the bold, Sharpie signature. Near Mint to Mint condition.
