Offered is a 1928 New York Yankees team signed baseball with Babe Ruth on the sweet spot. Interestingly, the ball was featured in a copy of the March 1964 L&N Magazine, the monthly newsletter for the L&N Railroad, that tells the story of the ball's origin. It reads in part "Back during the Depression a friend worked as a bellboy at a hotel in Cleveland. The New York Yankees, then perennial World Champions, 'stayed' there. Our friend, with the brashness of youth, eventually obtained the signatures of all the team on an Official American League baseball--those of Earl Comes, Babe Ruth, Bob Meusel and many another." It's a rare thing to have a media account of a signed ball from 50 years ago. Signatures include: Babe Ruth, Earle Combs, Benny Bengough and Al Shealy--Shealy only played for the Yankees in 1928. The LOA from Beckett Authenticated notes that there are four other signatures and possibly more that have faded. Very Good condition.
