Offerd is a 33 RPM acetate of a radio commercial for Elvis Presley's June 3, 1956, concert at the Oakland Municipal Auditorium. The announcer throws back and forth with a young female fan, both encouraging fans that this is their only chance to see Elvis in the Bay Area. "I Was The One" and "Heartbreak Hotel" are featured, and opening acts Del Courtney and his Big Band and The Jordanaires get a mention. They make a point of saying "Elvis Presley will not play San Francisco!" The 7-inch heavy laminate paper acetate is made by the "Rainbo Record Co." and was struck at "The May Company Complete Recording Company." May was a department store in Los Angeles in 1956, and it seems a production company used their acetate machine to make dupes to send to radio stations. A very interesting little promotional artifact from the earliest days of Elvis' career. Stunning Near Mint to Mint condition.
