Offered is an Elvis Presley smoked cigarette and the ashtray he used at Middle Tennessee State University. The small, silver cardboard ashtray has the name of the university on each side. It was picked up and saved by Elvis cousin Patsy Presley during one of his five concerts in Murfreesboro, Tennessee in 1974 or 1975. Patsy worked at Graceland for many years, and she related to early Elvis collector Tom Salva that she snatched the ashtray and butt that day with the intention of giving it to a fan. Later she just forgot about it. Tom Salva started buying Elvis personal affects from his cousin Patsy in the early 1980s, and the offered ashtray and cigarette were among them. The ashtray measures 3 x 3 inches and presents with obvious use but no damage. Near Mint condition.
