Offered is Elvis Presley's stage used handwritten lyrics for the song "Fool Such as I". Ed Bonja was in charge of these lyric sheets, which were kept in large binders. He later sold more than 100 of the sheets to noted dealer Chris Davidson in the early 2000s, when Ed was working for Chris. The red ink writing is most-likely Bonjas. Perhaps most interestingly, Elvis didn't sing this song live during his 1969-1977 concert tours except once: during the rehearsal sessions for the Las Vegas concerts that would become the documentary film Elvis: That's the Way It Is. These rehearsals took place in the Showroom Internationale of the International Hotel in Las Vegas. Together, Presley and the entire band ran through songs from "Mary In the Morning" to "Polk Salad Annie" and do a great version of "A Fool Such as I"--but the song did not make the set lists that summer. These rehearsals took place on August 7, 1970. The sheet measures 8 1/2 x 11 inches and presents with expected tears and areas of paper loss from binder storage as described in the copy of Bonja's letter, which accompanies. Excellent condition.
