Offered is a Stevie Ray Vaughan signed backstage pass on a Yamaha Model FG-412SB 12-string acoustic guitar. The boldly signed backstage pass was for the June 8, 1990, concert at the Shoreline Ampitheatre in Mountain View, California. Vaughan was on his "Power and Passion" concert tour with his band Double Trouble and Joe Cocker. Also included is the lucky fan's original concert ticket stub, plus two Stevie Ray Vaughan guitar picks (from an earlier period-see below). Vaughan was a fairly willing signer during his tragically short career, and he especially liked talking to other guitar players like the owner of this 12-string.
The guitar picks were acquired by Stevie Ray expert and biographer, Craig Hopkins. His accompanying letter states in part:
The two guitar picks were obtained from one of Stevie Ray Vaughan's roadies/guitar techs, and were part of Stevie's personal supply for touring during teh period 1983-85. The yellow pick reading 'Stevie Ray' was the second of the many styles of custom picks used by Stevie Ray Vaughan and is quite rare today. The multi-color pick reading 'Stevie Ray Vaughan' is a somewhat later pick and the style is among the most popular among collectors.
The guitar was originally offered in a 2005 Christies auction of rock and pop memorabilia, and that catalog is included. Accompanied by a letter of authenticity from Beckett Authenticated. The guitar comes black hardshell case. The guitar presents in used but very clean condition. Near Mint overall.
