Offered is an August 27, 1958, letter to Elvis Presley's Hollywood secretary Trude Forsher from Colonel Tom Parker in which Parker reprimands Trude for some overstepping on her part concerning another employee. The letter is an answer to a Forsher letter where she obviously spoke out of turn about the other employee's activities and personal finances. Parker spends four healthy paragraphs putting Forsher in her place and closes with a veiled reference to her perhaps not being needed. He even rebukes her use of the phrase "snower" outside of their private exchanges and conversations. The letter reads in part:
You must not let the playing mood of the line snow office and snowing become part of your makeup as we do not use this in serious business transactions. We are all very happy that you was able to make $300 in 2 weeks, and perhaps a small part of your ability to handle such an assignment was due to your having worked with us in the past, keep up the good work and more of these jobs as they surely are much better in pay than what we can pay...You know me well enough that I have never allowed anyone to impress a policy of handling my affairs other than if someone else pays the bills for everything.
The letter is typed on "Thomas A. Parker Exclusive Management" letterhead and measures 8 1/2 x 11 inches. The letter presents with mild toning and original mailing folds. Near Mint condition.
