The offered autograph book page presents a gorgeous 1956 Mickey Mantle autograph. Based on the style of Mantle's signature and the appearance of the other two signatures on the page, those of Lou Kretlow and Clem Labine, this signature is surely from Mantle's legendary Triple Crown season with the New York Yankees. Additionally, the signature may have actually been signed during the 7-game 1956 World Series itself! Lou Kretlow's last year in the majors was 1956, where he played for the Kansas City Athletics. The Yankees played a September series with the Athletics, and this could be the time when Kretlow and Mantle were added to the page. But with the signature of Brooklyn Dodger Clem Labine on the other side of the page, it is also quite possible that the signatures of Mantle and Labine were added during the World Series. Labine would have been sought after by fans as he threw two innings of relief in Game 3 and was the Dodgers' winning pitcher of Game 6, where he threw a 10-inning complete game and forced the Yanks into the legendary Game 7 showdown. The green page presents with some moderate toning along the edges and has been neatly cut from its original book. While Mantle's signature has some minor skipping, the ink present is remarkably bold. NEAR MINT condition. The page is accompanied by a letter of authenticity from PSA/DNA.
