The offered index card is signed by Hall of Famer Grover Cleveland Alexander. This all-time great shares the National League record for career wins with Christy Mathewson and owns the shutout record with 90. Few remember but he was sold by the Chicago Cubs to the St. Louis Cardinals in the middle of the 1926 season. They preceded to win the NL pennant and he led them to the World Championship by winning two games and saving Game Seven. The transaction could be on par with the Brock-Broglio trade Cubs fans! "Old Pete" died 1950 at age 63.  Encapsulated by Beckett Authentication.
