Considered to be the National League greatest prior to the arrival of Johnny Bench,"Old Tomato Face" is remembered for being behind the plate when Babe Ruth called his shot at the 1932 World Seires and for his "Homer In The Gloamin'" with one week left in the 1938 season to put the Cubs in first place.
