Offered is a special one game program for the June 11, 1945, "City Series" game between the Philadelphia Athletics and Phillies at Shibe Park. Interestingly, Jimmie Foxx is seen hitting 5th in the Phillies lineup as he concluded his major league career by playing in Philadelphia in 1945. The 7-inning game was held as part of the "7th War Loan Drive," and helped sell $5,000,000 in war bonds. The Phillies won 3-1. The offered program measures 7 x 11 inches and presents with a few pencil notations in the scorecard area, and some minor scuffing. Excellent condition.
