Interestingly, Elvis Presley was a huge fan of Billy Wicks--Billy wrestled with Elvis several times, teaching him a few techniques. In their 1959 Championship match, Billy Wicks & Sputnik Monroe (with Rocky Marciano as Referee) filled 20,000 seats at Memphis' Russwood Park--outselling Elvis' attendance record for the park of 16,000 seats!
