Mariliyn Monroe has signed the offered 8 x 10 inch photograph "To Elzie, Keep Safe for Me, Marilyn Monroe." The photo is an early Lazlo Willinger studio-issued "glamour shot" promotional photograph. Willinger was a noted studio photographer known for shooting movie stars like Clark Gable, Joan Crawford and Fred Astaire, but his most intricate and heartfelt work was his photo sessions with Marilyn Monroe, whom he had the chance to meet and photograph ever since starting her career as a model when she was still known as Norma Jeane Baker. The offered photo dates from around the time the young actress was given a significant supporting role in the 1950 film All About Eve. "Elzie," to whom the rather heartfelt inscription is dedicated, is a fairly unusual first name, and it is possible that the photo is signed to African-American actor Elzie Emanual, who came up in Hollywood at the exact same time as Marilyn. Regardless, this is one of the sexiest signed photos of Marilyn Monroe one is likely ever to see. Accompanied by a letter of authenticity from Beckett Authentic. The photo measures 8 x 10 inches and presents with some mild wear, mostly to the edges. Excellent to Mint condition.
