The offered pair of original photographs were taken on October 1, 1955, when Elvis Presley performed at The Louisiana Hayride. Both photographs capture Elvis on stage, mid-song, strumming and grinding away, thrilling the Shreveport Municipal Auditorium Crowd. While three or four other images have surfaced of this concert, the offered photographs have never been published, to our knowledge. Elvis performed "I Forgot To Remember To Forget" that night, and he shared the bill with Buzz Busby and the Bayou Boys, who garnered top billing, of course, as well as Johnny Horton, Jack Ford and a number of others. After a little more than a year of touring extensively and releasing his Sun singles, Elvis was climbing up the marquee--he was billed second at this show. Each photo measures 2 ¼ x 3 ¼ inches and presents with creases and minor wrinkles. Each has been trimmed along the edges. Excellent condition.
