Prince Owned and Worn "EXIT 1" Snakeskin-Like Black & White Checkered Stretch Pants

These black and white checkered pants were owned and worn by Prince in the 1990s. The "EXIT 1" brand pants are form-fitting, and the construction of thousands of small circular fabric shapes gives them an almost snakeskin-like sheen and feel. The pants emanate from the personal collection of Prince's first wife, Mayte Garcia. The pants are accompanied by a letter of authenticity signed by Mayte Garcia and by Chris Davidson, President of "Prince: The Collection." The letter states: "These black and white checkered stretch pants were made by Exit 1, Los Angeles manufacturing. The stretch pants were purchased and worn by Prince in and around the house in the late 90s. The material is made of thousands of round glossy spheres which make the pants almost shiny in nature. These checkered pants were obtained from Prince's first wife, Mayte Garcia." An autographed copy of Garcia's book, The Most Beautiful: My Life with Prince, is included with this lot. 

The pants still maintain their original "EXIT 1 LOS ANGELES" tagging in the waist (a size tag may never have been present on pants like these) and they present with no distresses. The fabric still flexes when stretched. Near Mint to Mint condition.
