Offered is an RCA In-House Platinum Record Award for Elvis Presley's 1960 LP Elvis is Back. While the RIAA was the go-to for certifications and gold and platinum awards, it was quite common for record labels such as RCA to issue their own, in-house awards to artists and executives. The offered award is an excellent example of this lesser-seen version of the award, most-likely hailing from the late 1990s. In 1999, the RIAA had certified Elvis is Back Gold-that certification may have prompted the RCA award to be created. The Plaque Reads "Presented to Elvis Presley for Worldwide Sales of over $1,000,000 Worth of the RCA/VICTOR RECORDS Long-Playing Record Album 'Elvis is Back'". The award measures 17 x 21 inches and presents in Near Mint condition.
