Offered is an RIAA Gold Record Award for Elvis Presley's 1970 live LP On Stage, February 1970. The record was released on June 1, 1970, and certified gold by the RIAA on February 23, 1971. The offered award was produced in that period based on the early white linen matte style. The plaque reads: “Presented to COL. TOM PARKER to Commemorate the Sale of More Than One Million Copies of the RCA RECORDS Long Playing Record Album 'On Stage, February 1970.'” For every award Elvis received from RCA, The Colonel got one, too--just like everything else! The album was recorded during the Elvis concerts between February 17 and 19, 1970 and August 22 and 25, 1969 at the International Hotel, Las Vegas, Nevada. The album reached number 13 on both the Billboard 200 and country music charts. The award measures 17 1/2 x 21 1/2 inches and presents with even toning to the matte area. Near Mint condition.
