The offered full graduation outfit, with cap and gown, was worn by Tobey Maguire as Peter Parker in the 2002 film Spider-Man. Spider-Man was directed by Sam Raimi from a screenplay by David Koepp, and it was the first installment in the initial Spider-Man trilogy, and stars Tobey Maguire as the title character, alongside Willem Dafoe, Kirsten Dunst, James Franco, Cliff Robertson and Rosemary Harris. When Peter Parker graduates from "Midtown High School" in the film, actor Tobey Maguire wears this cap and gown in the film.

The elaborate and gorgeous display includes four images from the film showing Maguire wearing the offered cap and gown, as well as the Columbia Pictures COAs, two original studio production tags and two inventory sheets from "Sony Pictures" (who distributed the film). The first of the original tags reads "PETER PARKER / GRADUATION / HERO." "HERO" is the term used by film productions to indicate a costume or prop that is heavily detailed enough to be used for closeups, and additionally as the main version of the item that will be used on camera. The other tag reads: "PETER PARKER/CHARACTER / TOBEY MAGUIRE/ACTOR / H62/SCENE # / 7/CHG. #." The gown's original tag from "Collegiate Cap & Gown" has the handwritten notation "TOBEY" on it.

The cap and gown is accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity from Pictures that states: "This Green Graduation Robe worn by Peter Parker (Tobey Maguire) is 'authentic.' ie it is the actual robe used in the making of the Columbia Pictures film 'Spider-Man.'" The serial number can be found in the authentication database.

The framed display measures 42 x63 inches, and the cap and gown present in Near Mint condition.
