Offered is an Elvis Presley signed menu from his concerts held at the Las Vegas International Hotel during the summer of 1969. Elvis has boldly signed on the inside of the menu, right below his portrait. After nearly a decade without playing live, in July and August 1969 Elvis came back with a vengeance with a record-breaking set of 57 shows at the International Hotel. He effectively redefined what it meant to perform in Las Vegas during that month, and one of the most treasured keepsakes from that run of shows is the oversized souvenir dinner menu. The menu itself is hard to come by--one autographed by Elvis is something most collectors never see.

The signed menu is accompanied by a letter from a gentleman explaining how it was signed. It reads in part "this menu was from the International Hotel when Elvis played there in 1969. I purchased this menu from the family of Phyllis Brothers, she was there in 1969 at the Elvis Presley show and was able to go backstage and meet Elvis, where he autographed her/this menu. Also she saw Barbara Streisand show at the international and had a menu from her show also."

The offered “ribbon menu” is an imposing presentation with its black cover, ribbon accent and color image of Elvis visible though a die-cut hole in the front cover. It displays several options for meal items, an extensive wine list and prices for each item. Also included is nice modern print of a photo of Elvis signing this style of menu while backstage at the International. The menu is accompanied by a letter of authenticity from Beckett Authentic. The menu measures 8 1/2 by 17 inches and presents with extensive water damage and staining, but the damage has not affected the large, dark signature. Very Good to Excellent condition.
