That fateful day in Dallas, November 22, 1963, saw a young Mary Ann Moorman standing in the center of Dealy Plaza patiently waiting to get a photo with her Polaroid camera of President John F. Kennedy as he drove by in his convertible. She was just beyond the curb on the south side of Elm Street, directly across from Abraham Zapruder, who was filming the scene with his 8 mm camera. Both Moorman and her friend, Jean Hill, can be clearly seen in the Zapruder film. Between Zapruder frames 315 and 316, Moorman took a Polaroid photograph, her fifth that day, showing the presidential limousine with the grassy knoll area in the background. Offered here is an oversized, limited edition print of the famous photograph Moorman took that day. She has signed and hand-numbered the back of the photo “30/50.” Moorman's photograph captured the fatal head shot that killed President Kennedy. When she took it – approximately one sixth of a second after President Kennedy was struck in the head at Zapruder frame 313, Moorman was standing behind and to the left of President Kennedy, about 15 feet from the presidential limousine. Moorman said in a TV interview that immediately after the assassination, there were three or four shots close together, that shots were still being fired after the fatal head shot, and that she was in the line of fire. She later stated in a 2013 documentary that she was close enough to hear Jackie Kennedy exclaim that John had been shot. The print measures 21 x 29 Inches and presents in perfect Near Mint to Mint condition.
