Offered is an RIAA Gold Record Award for The Beatles 1965 single "Yesterday" "Presented to The Beatles". The single was released on September 13, 1965 and topped the Billboard Hot 100 for four weeks. Within five weeks the single had sold over a million copies! The single was certified GOLD on October 20, 1965, and the offered award with its white linen matte style was produced in that period. The plaque reads: “Presented to THE BEATLES to Commemorate the Sale of More Than One Million Copies of the Capitol Records Pop Single Record 'Yesterday.'” The award measures 13 x 17 inches and presents with just minor wear to the wooden frame and mild discoloration to the matte area. Near Mint condition.
